Curriculum  Objectives

Our main objective is to teach and model the Christian faith.  We provide a developmentally appropriate Christian curriculum which encourages each child to grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually through learning and play activities. We provide a safe and secure facility.

 Learning in the Classroom

We strive to prepare each student for a successful Kindergarten experience.  Students choose from a variety of Centers, which may explore art, reading, play, matching, building, or writing.  They enjoy a center of the month which focuses on a monthly theme. Monthly themes give students the opportunity to learn while having fun.  Themes have included Dinosaurs, The Wild West, The Arctic, From Farm to Table and Veterinary Medicine.  Children love the surprise of each new monthly theme.

Daily responsibilities let the children take pride in their contribution to the classroom.  Roles include weather helper, flag bearer, snack helper, pet helper and more.

Learning Out of the Classroom

We include a variety of extracurricular experiences so that children can develop and explore their personal interests,  Children enjoy weekly Music Enrichment with Beth Green, The Music Lady, a weekly chapel service, and weekly large motor development.  Our students present one pageant and one musical program to their parent to spark a love for the creative arts.  We plan several field trips to teach environmental science, occupations in the world around us and personal safety.  In the past, we have worked with the Coastal Discovery Museum, the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, the fire department, local dentists, doctors and more.

Parent Involvement

Parents are encouraged to come and see what their children are doing in the classroom.  We welcome parent participation on field trips and celebrate the parents of our students with different events during the year, including Muffins for Moms and Donuts for Dads.
